If you like playing games in your spare time, specially word games, like I do; here is a list of my favorite applications for your cellphone and/or tablet.
I recommend these game applications because they'll help you practice English while improving your vocabulary and testing your knowledge.
Of course, most of these apps are available also in Spanish but; that is not the idea. I recommend downloading them in English. These games are suitable for Intermediate to Advance learners.
Here is my top 10 list of apps:
1.- Duolingo: It is not a game, but it is good for practicing your EFL skills. But don't even think
about skipping classes though!.
2.- Words with Friends: the classic game of "Scrabble". You can play with unknown players around
the world chosen at random by the app or play against a computer (be carefull, it cheats!)
3.- Pressed for Words: How many words can you spell from a random group of letters?
4.- WordGo: Guess the word only from the first initial. (a mature version of Hangman)
5.-Hangman: the classic game for all ages. Here you can chose your skill level.
6.- Luckiest Wheel: The classic "Wheel of Fortune" sans the original hosts Pat Sajack and Vanna White.
7.- Four Pictures One Word: Guess what is the common word that links four images. Some are obvious, others are really challenging.
8.- Millionaire: The app version of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire", If only money prizes were real!
9.- Crosswords: If you like solving crosswords, this app is for you. Four letter words are not easy to guess.
10- What Am I?: Try to solve the riddle. Very challenging. Recommended only for advanced students.
